Seal Shore Campsite is in the south end of the island in Kildonan. They offer sea-front plots with endless opportunities for wildlife spotting.
Around a 30 minute drive from Brodick and a 15-minute walk to the community-owned village shop.
3. Balmichael Glamping
Best for:
- families
- activities
- sunsets
Balmichael Glamping are the best of glamping for families on Arran. They have on-site alpacas, a games room and a play area.
Situated on the string road, you’ll find them around a 20-minute drive from Brodick.
4. Lochranza Caravan and Campsite
Best for:
- bird spotting
- golf
- access to one of the island’s distilleries
This campsite has a special place in our hearts. We stayed here last autumn and listened to the stags rutting all night.
We’ve also seen a Golden Eagle in Lochranza many times.

5. Kings Caves Glamping
Best for:
- families with older children
- mountain views
- access to a communal hot tub
Last but certainly not least is Kings Cave Glamping. They’re on the west side of the island and provide great facilities for families with older children.
