About the space
Rowan is nestled in a treeline in an open meadow, surrounded by nature.
Start your day with views to the sea and Holy Isle. Head out for a hill walk, explore the coastline, or take a swim before returning to the comfort of your hut.
Rowan includes:
- warm shower and flushable toilet
- comfy double bed
- dining table and armchairs
- kettle (teabags included) and Nespresso machine (coffee pods included)
- private outdoor seating
- toaster, kettle, mini oven and hob
- books, games and art supplies
We’re located in Whiting Bay
Your hut is within easy walking distance to:
- ☕Bay Stores – a grocery shop serving coffee and an excellent range of alcohol and snacks
- 🍺Kai Restaurant, Arran Simply Thai, The Shore, The Coffee Pot and The Shurig
- 🏝️ some of the best beaches Arran has to offer and Stonesthrow Sauna
- 🥾Glenashdale falls, Kingscross, Sandbraes beach, Loch na Leirg, Eas a’Chrannaig, forestry paths that connect you to the rest of the island and the Arran coastal way

What to expect
She’s a self-contained shepherd’s hut. Perfect for peaceful retreats in nature and getting time away from other humans (if you so choose).

We offer a 3-night minimum stay for Rowan and are open March to November. Christmas and New Year breaks are also available.
